LAST MINUTE INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPETITORS

The contents of this media release are important to you as an entrant so please take the time to read it the entire content.

 

1. SCRUTINEERING FRIDAY NIGHT

We have attached a map of the layout of the facility for Friday night. Please take note of the traffic entry points for competitors. We will have signage to indicate entry points from the highway.

 

There is NO PARKING OUTSIDE OF THE FACILITY. No bikes will be allowed to be pushed through the gate from outside of the fenced facility. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in your bike not being scrutineered, and quite possibly a parking fine.

 

NO ABUSE OF OFFICIALS WILL BE TOLERATED

 

2. PIT PASSES AND CAR PASSES - SENIORS

 

All competitors and crew are expected to wear pit passes at all times. No wrist band = no entry to pits. This will be strictly enforced by pit marshalls.

 

Car pass stickers must be affixed to the top left of the windscreen. Only stickered vehicles will be allowed access into the pits. All other vehicles must be parked in the general parking area, no excuses. Ensure all gear required for race day is in the vehicle that is authorised for pit access

 

3. SENIOR START LINE

 

No unauthorised personnel will be allowed on the startline area. Once the bikes have been lined ready for start, ALL crew are to leave the startline area. Our Clerk of Course will not give the signal to go until this area is clear.

 

3. PIT TENTS

 

As per the supplementary regulations, junior pit tents are not to set up prior to 10am on Thursday 5th.

Senior pit tents are not to be set up prior to the completion of prologue on Saturday 7th and gates will remain locked until this time. Any tents found prior to these times will be removed by the organising committee.

 

NO ABUSE OF OFFICIALS WILL BE TOLERATED

 

4. HELMET ATTACHMENTS

 

 As per regulations, no cameras or GPS equipment is permitted to be fixed to helmets

 

5. DRONES

 

This is a NO DRONE ZONE. It is illegal to operate a drone near manned aircraft and we have helicopters operating in the area. All persons observed operating illegally will be reported to the authorities for prosecution. 

 

6. OBSERVANCE OF ROAD RULES

 

Please note the restricted speed signage on Boonoonar Road entering the event. All patrons are expected to observe road rules at all times. No riding in utes, no unsecured loads, where seatbelts, helmets (if applicable).

 

The booze bus will be operating throughout the weekend and we will be visited by Traffic Operations Group, so please observe the road rules and be safe for everyone's benefit including your own.
